Proud to Help the Missouri Military Memorial Foundation Reach it’s Goal
In 2010 a grieving mother set out on a quest — to build a memorial that would honor her daughter, SGT Amanda Pinson, and the other Missouri military personnel who were killed during Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, Desert Storm and Desert Shield.
We’re proud to be able to bring that quest a little closer to its goal by making the Missouri Military Memorial Foundation 5K Walk/Run for the Heroes our Charity of the Month for September. The Missouri Military Memorial Foundation completed the first phase of their project, the Gold Star Pavilion, just last year. They continue to raise funds for Phase Two which will be the memorial itself. You can see conceptual drawings of the memorial on their About page.
The 5K will be held at Jefferson Barracks Park on October 10, 2015. You can find details and register to participate on the MMMF home page. The deadline to register yourself or your team and get an event t-shirt is September 13, 2015. You can still register and participate right up to the day of the event, but you’ll miss out on the event t-shirt if you wait.
